Private Rooms
When you're admitted to the 5th floor, you will have a private room. There are no restrictions placed on visiting hours on our unit. We encourage family and friends to stay with you while you're in the hospital. In most rooms, there are chairs that make a bed. If your room doesn't have one of these chairs, we'll get you a cot.

All patient rooms on the 5th floor are under positive pressure which means the air is circulated faster than normal to reduce the amount of bacteria. For this reason, the door to your room must always be closed. This helps keep you from being exposed to anything that might cause infection, which is called reverse isolation.
