The pheresis staff is made up of a team of laboratory medicine physicians, a clinical supervisor, registered nurses performing patient and donor procedures, donor technicians collecting blood products, a donor recruiter and clerical staff. During the three to six hours it takes to donate stem cells, you can watch TV, read, listen to music, work on a hobby, do paperwork or nap.
